Come rain or shine (yes we know, a little more of the former!) you all worked tirelessly and the fantastic feedback and results we’ve achieved as a company this year are down to your efforts.
It’s now that time of year when we need to return your festival deposits. We plan to do this next week via BACS. So please make sure that the bank details in your DCSS PAAM account are current.
We have received a few queries about deposit returns – people asking why they cannot be returned until October. As you know we use a merchant provider to process the deposit payments. All merchant providers have a reserve and release strategy when dealing with any form of payment related to events; meaning that in a similar way to festival goers buying tickets you are protected in the unlikely event that a festival or event does not take place. Your deposits are held by the merchant provider and released to DC Site Services a maximum of 30 days after the last event of the season. We received the 2012 deposits from our merchant provider yesterday (Thursday 5th October 2012).
We hope that this explains why we are unable to return your deposits until October; we really do process them as quickly as possible!
