Your applications to work at Events & Festivals this year!

Posted on Friday, February 4, 2022

What a fantastic launch week with nearly 700 applications in just the first four days! Thank you to everyone who logged in to apply, we can’t wait to get back out in the field with you.

The number one question we’ve had this week? “When will you be assigning positions for Glastonbury?” Our answer? Not quite yet. Last year we made the decision to remove all deposits, and we’re standing by that decision this year even with the return of Glastonbury to our event calendar. We will be doing one or two things differently, however.

We no longer assign positions on a first come, first served basis. Without deposits we select our applicants based on experience with the company. Don’t worry, this doesn’t rule out everyone brand-new to DC, but it does reshuffle the order of applications. So, if you’d like to better your chances of being assigned the best thing you can do is apply to work at one or two events leading up to Glastonbury. The absence of deposits means relying on trust, and if we’re familiar with you from another event, this exponentially betters your chance of being offered a position.

Nearer the time you can also expect some literature to be sent out with regards to wristband etiquette and the security measures we will be taking onsite. And though we may not be assigning Glastonbury positions just yet to give the new people among you a chance to become known to us, we will begin assigning positions for other events and festivals over the next week or so.

Lastly, we’d like to give a big shout out to our crew working the first event of the year at Build It Live in Kent this weekend. Good luck, guys!

We have been using DC at a number of our events for the past few years and the service they provide is flawless. They are one of the few contractors in the whole events industry that we are confident can complete the service to exactly how we asked whilst keeping costs very competitive. Waste management is a difficult job, DC make it look easy. DC Site Services are highly recommended, a 5 star contractor.
