An Update on Your Pay.

Posted on Friday, May 13, 2022

Last December, DC Site Services announced the new event crew pay rates for the 2022 season and our decision to pay an additional 50 pence above the national minimum wage increase. Crew aged 22 and under would receive £9.45 ph plus £1.14 holiday pay (£10.59), while crew 23 and over would receive £10 ph plus £1.21 holiday pay (£11.21)

After a lot of consideration, DC Site Services is pleased to confirm that from now on all crew working in the same position will receive the same rate of pay regardless of age. We’re implementing this change as we strongly believe in fair pay for the same work.

The below is a statement from our Crew Handbook:

‘DC Site Services is an equal rights and equal opportunities employer. We employ staff from all walks of life and are accepting of all, regardless of age, race, sexual orientation, gender, disability, background, nationality etc. No matter who you are, if you work hard and treat others with respect then you deserve to be treated the same way.’

One rate for all crew is £10 ph plus £1.21 ph holiday pay (£11.21 per hour).

Let’s get to work!

I just wanted to send out a big thank you to you and your team for all the work you and the team put into helping make the traffic and transport operation work so well this year.

As it was a pleasure having DC site services as part of our team. I think the GFEL team of contractors is the envy of a lot of events in the way we all support each other and it was noted by some observers that stated the following :-

"simply put, GFEL’s off-site traffic management plan was delivered and managed in a totally consistent and defensible manner that sought to promote good practice, collaboration and road safety to the benefit of all road users."

The DC are big part of that delivery and should take some of the credit for that delivery.
