Help us get it right!

Posted on Friday, March 25, 2022

We’re thinking ahead for this week’s update. Planning is vital in our industry, and you can help us plan by sending in any requests you might have early.

Want to work with a friend? Here at DC Site Service, we always try to allocate friends to the same shift wherever possible. We know that you want to be able to chillout after shift with your friends to enjoy the event together. To make sure this happens simply note your profile in the ‘Additional Details’ section and email to let us know. Otherwise, if we don’t know, it may be difficult to allocate you to the same team on-site as we allocate crew into teams before arrival.

Do you plan on staying in your live-in vehicle or caravan while working for us?

If so, get in touch as soon as you’ve been accepted to work at an event to let us know your plans, providing details such as make, length and width, and we’ll get back to you to let you know whether this is possible or not. If your working at the event/festival depends on your ability to take a live-in vehicle, try to contact us prior to making your applications.

It might be the case that live-in vehicles are prohibited on-site at a particular event. Knowing how many live-in vehicles we have onsite allows us to organise the DC compound before you arrive.

Help us to get it right!

As always, we’re open from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, for any other questions or enquiries you might have.

I just wanted to send out a big thank you to you and your team for all the work you and the team put into helping make the traffic and transport operation work so well this year.

As it was a pleasure having DC site services as part of our team. I think the GFEL team of contractors is the envy of a lot of events in the way we all support each other and it was noted by some observers that stated the following :-

"simply put, GFEL’s off-site traffic management plan was delivered and managed in a totally consistent and defensible manner that sought to promote good practice, collaboration and road safety to the benefit of all road users."

The DC are big part of that delivery and should take some of the credit for that delivery.
